On December 17th Ivy Tech Corporate College held a graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of its latest CNC Operator Training Class.

The curriculum of this course was developed through collobaration between Ivy Tech and local manufacturers.  Completion of the 225 contact hour class results in attendees receiving a minimum of 4 NIMS Certifications for each student.  However, the five students who attended the program completed the additional work necessary and received a combined total of 25 NIMS certifications.

The ceremony was attended by family members of the graduates, WorkOne Employment Advisors, Ivy Tech staff as well as a representative from a local employer.

After the ceremony, the students gave the visitors a tour of the training area and displayed their final projects.

Since it began in 2013, the CNC program has now graduated 54 students who have attained a total of 217 NIMS Certifications.  The majority of these students are now employed.
