On May 7th, the Northview JAG students hosted a free picnic for Clay County Veterans and their families. This was the 4th year for the picnic. The students created a flyer which they used to promote the event. They also worked with local Veteran Organizations and Nursing Home facilities to promote the event to their residents. This year's turnout was the best so far as the students served lunch to approximately 80 people.
At the event, the students collected names and mailing addresses of the attendees and will continue their tradition of sending cards on Veteran’s day.
