Region 7 was well represented at this year’s JAG (Jobs for Americas Graduates) National Training Seminar.  During the seminar, JAG instructors attended workshops and shared best practices with JAG specialists from around the country.

The Conference included an awards program and Region 7’s hard work was rewarded.  As a program, Region 7 once again received the 5 of 5 Award.  The award recognizes programs that meet or exceed performance measures in 5 categories.

·         Graduates
·         Total Civilian Job Placements and Military Service
·         Total Positive Outcomes
·         Total in Full Time Placement (Includes Full Time work, Full Time School, Full Time Military or combination of Part Time School and Part Time Work)
·         Total in Full Time Jobs

Region 7 has received this award each year that it has been presented.

When it came time to recognize individual achievement, Region 7 was also honored.

JAG Specialist Dana Bottomley of Northview High School / Cumberland Academy was named a 2017 Outstanding Specialist.  Mrs. Bottomley was one of only 128 Specialists nationwide to receive this honor.

Greg Lee was honored with the High Performer Award for his work as a Program Manager and Outreach Coordinator.

Congratulations to Mrs. Bottomley, Mr. Lee and all of the Region 7 JAG Specialists who do such fantastic work for the youth of our Region!
