Each summer JAG Specialists from around the state gather for their yearly conference.

In addition to discussing program updates and sharing best practices, there is an awards ceremony highlighting all of the great activities and accomplishments of the 133 JAG programs throughout the state.  Region 7 was well represented when it came time to hand out the awards.

Kim Snodgrass received the Specialist of Year award for her work with JAG programs at Parke Heritage and Riverton Parke High Schools.

Dana Bottomley recieved a Second Place Award for Service Learning projects at Northview High School such as the 12 Trees of Christmas and their Veterans Picnic.  Dana was also recognized with an award for her 5 years of service.

Greg Lee was awarded a Manager of the Year honor as well as a 5 Year Service Award.

Audrey Harbison of Terre Haute North High School was honored with the 10 Year Service Award.

In addition to the awards, Cloverdale JAG Specialist Karl Turk led a session about delivering invigorating, relationship-building concepts and activities to teach the JAG curriculum and appeal to multiple intelligences.  Greg Lee was part of a group that gave a presentation about successfully using social media to increase employer, student, school and community involvement.
