Scents of dried cherry, tobacco, mint, cedar and autumn leaves are some of the signatures in Brovia's 2011 Barolo. Already quite forward, the 2011 is likely to offer its best drinking over the next few years, so I would not push my luck too far here. In some vintages, the Brovia Barolo can be a real overachiever, but the 2011 is a bit less complete than I would have liked. Don't get me wrong, the Barolo is pretty, but so often it is much more than that. -- Antonio Galloni
