DESCRIPTION
Widely known as preamp used by Marcus Miller, the TCT is legendary. It has vintage FMV (Fender/Marshall/Vox) frequency controls so each band affects the others and if all bands are set to minimum, the output is muted. The TCT is a vintage, complex product for professional use only.
**Due to the TCT preamp being out of Bartolini's normal production, we are offering them professionally wired in the Fat Bass Tone shop. These preamps are wired to Bartolini's specifications using Bartolini's quality components. Since they are wired in our shop, they do not come in Bartolini's retail packaging.
All of our pre-wired harnesses are now wired using solderless connectors. This means that you should be able to install the harness without any soldering. A mini flathead screwdriver is included to allow you to screw down the terminals on to the necessary wires. Read more here.
(*If you are installing into a bass with a barrel jack, you may need to solder a couple connections) or grab one of our prewired barrel jacks)

Gain:
3dB - Average boost is preset. Additional boost can be added by an experienced guitar tech.
Bass Control:
Boost or cut your low frequencies. The control is assymetric and somewhat affects treble response as well.
Bass: +/-12dB@50Hz
Mid Control:
Thicken or thin your tone with mid control. TCT has native mid cut for classic slap tone. Flip the toggle to set the mid frequency boost to 250Hz, 500Hz, or quickly flip to 750Hz for a solo with a 3 position toggle on a TCT-4.7AP, TCT-5.3AP or TCT-5.4AP system. On no-toggle switch systems the mids are a push/pull selectable between 250hz when pushed in, and 750hz when pulled out.
Mid: +16dB@250/500/750Hz, -11dB@300Hz
Treble Control:
The TCT provides ample control range for treble boost or cut. The control affects bass response as well.
