Dating back to the early-mid-1800s, these Georgian (or very early Victorian) ear drops, were rendered in 14K gold. These beautiful Cannetille earrings feature a combination of yellow and rose gold. The yellow gold oval frames are decorated with fine spiral wires formed into circular disks in the cannetille style. Cannetille was an early 19th-century method of gold ornamentation using this wires to create a filigree pattern. The center of the ovals have a raised polished rose gold blank that could be engraved. These are a textbook example of fine jewelry making in the 19th century. The earrings have long shepherd hooks that latch in the back and are very secure. They make a wonderful gift and will come in a box. They are unmarked but tested to be 14K gold.
