Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked is a premium, double-barreled bourbon that undergoes an extended aging process to develop a rich and complex flavor profile. After initial aging in a traditional charred oak barrel, it is transferred to a second custom-made barrel that is deeply toasted and lightly charred. This unique double-barrel aging process imparts additional layers of flavor, resulting in a bourbon with notes of maple syrup, dark butterscotch, brittle caramel, bittersweet chocolate, burnt marshmallow, and sweet hickory smoke on the nose. The palate reveals rich dried cherry and cranberry fruit, blackberry jam, ripe apple, chai tea, and warming clove notes. The finish is warm and drying with a lingering clove character.
