A barrel selection that saw 30 months sur lattes before disgorgement with five grams per liter dosage and which consists of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, Hattingley Valley's 2013 Brut Kings Cuvée is showing very well indeed, offering up aromas of yellow orchard fruit, citrus oil, honeycomb and wheat toast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, with a delicately textural attack, a pinpoint mousse and a bright spine of acidity that defines the long, mouthwatering finish. This is one of the finest English sparkling wines on the US market and comes warmly recommended.
