A wonderfully spicy and very Vosne nose combines red and black berry fruit aromas that display just a touch of secondary development along with intense floral notes, particularly violets, that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is fine richness to the sweet and sappy medium-bodied flavors that are blessed with ample dry extract that imparts a lush mouth feel that continues onto to the dusty, complex and lingering finish that is supported by well-integrated tannins and fine length. This is probably approachable in regular bottle but it’s clear that a few more years of cellaring will be necessary in magnum. 91/2021+
