Jessika Källeskog wanted to reshape the traditional mortar and pestle by creating Tondo for Design House Stockholm. Both a beautiful marble sculpture and a tool with a different form and a calmer motion, Tondo is something completely unique and yet very familiar.

Tondo is more than just a device for grinding herbs and spices: It will be the centrepiece of your kitchen and a conversation piece with your guests at the dinner table. With Tondo, you can actually feel how the peppercorns are being ground so you can fine adjust the coarseness.
