A lovely antique Cut Steel Bar Pin from the turn of the century. A Victorian era brooch with a double row of individually riveted crescent-shaped cut steel pieces surrounding a bar of multi-faceted rosettes. Cut steel jewelry was some of the most intricate jewelry made, created to imitate the sparkle of diamonds. Made from riveted, faceted steel bead called rosettes, these beads each have 12 cut facets. This brooch has a long pin stem and an old C-clasp. The metal has a ton of shine and glitter from the gun metal gray mirror-like surface. The back shows the individual rivets.
