This is rose at its most alive.
Fresh, vivid, and breathing — a rose captured at the exact moment it feels awake.
Bright without sharpness, light without fragility, this is rose experienced in motion rather than at rest.
The moment this rose otto touches skin or blotter, it releases a vivid, crystalline rose aroma — bright, dewy, and unmistakably natural. The impression is immediate and alive, like petals freshly crushed between the fingers at dawn.
At the heart of the aroma sits a gentle lemon-honey sweetness — luminous and balanced rather than sugary. The rose feels wet and airy, expansive without becoming diffuse, with a clarity that distinguishes it from darker or more extracted rose materials.
This character comes from how the oil is produced. This rose otto is taken exclusively from the first distillation run. In commercial rose production, multiple distillation cycles are often performed on the same plant material to increase yield, with later runs blended back to create a more economical but less expressive oil.
Here, no secondary or tertiary fractions are introduced. What you experience is the oil exactly as it emerged from the still during the first pass — when the most volatile, aromatic, and dimensionally complete facets are captured.
As the oil settles, the brightness remains but gains softness and poise. Watery rose facets linger on skin, supported by subtle honeyed citrus nuances that lend refinement and quiet confidence rather than density or weight.
On skin, the experience is one of movement and breath. The rose never becomes heavy or static — it stays light, fresh, and quietly radiant.
This rose otto can be worn neat on skin in very small amounts. Applied sparingly, it opens bright and fresh, then settles into a light, watery rose presence that feels transparent and alive. Ideal for those who enjoy rose that breathes and evolves rather than one that weighs down.
Azerbaijan Rose Otto integrates effortlessly in composition. It can be worn alone in trace amounts, paired with sandalwood, layered with oud, or used as a luminous floral centrepiece. Its balance allows it to support a structure without flattening or dominating it.
As our first discovery from Azerbaijan, this rose otto set a clear technical benchmark. Among experienced perfumers and rose collectors, it stands comfortably alongside the finest Persian and Turkish styles, valued for its freshness, purity, and structural clarity.
Please note: This product contains 1 mL of pure oil, supplied in a 3 mL bottle. The bottle will appear approximately one-third full. This is normal and intentional.
This rose otto may crystallize at temperatures below 20°C. This is a natural characteristic of high-quality rose otto and a sign of purity. Gently warm the bottle in your hands and shake lightly (with the cap secured) to restore it to liquid form.
In natural perfumery, otto refers to pure essential oil obtained through steam distillation. The term originates from the Arabic word itr, meaning essence or perfume.
Rose otto is especially valued when taken from early distillation fractions, where freshness, clarity, and structural integrity are preserved.
The Raw Natural Collection showcases rare and exceptional oils, carefully curated from our private library. Some of these oils appear in our perfumes, while others remain untouched — each a reflection of true material craftsmanship.
