Informal Information:

This pot has some small marks as shown in the last photo, but with a little oil, it comes up well as you can see.

These rectangles with applied window frames are different to those which have the recessed windows made in a mould. They're more work to make, don't come around often, and it is the condition of the window frames that matter the most, because they are susceptible to damage if not looked after, by which I mean not knocked/bumped. On this example there are a few small chips, however the front remains excellent.

Condition: Used, some small marks, small chips to windows (see photos), otherwise excellent.

Yamaaki, 3rd Generation Potter Kataoaka Toshio. The kiln was started by Katakoka Akitsuga and fired by three generations of potters, until it finally went 'cold' in 2011. It was the most productive bonsai pot kiln in Tokoname, fired with gas which gives those fantastic clay colours mimicking the pots of ancient China. Toshio does seem to prefer a purplish hue much like Akitsuga. There are a lot of production Yamaaki pots available, those with nail carved signatures were hand made by the Kataoka family, and consequently more valuable.

International: - please ask for a quote for shipping. Any import fees are the responsibility of the customer. I'm not shipping pots over 12in internationally.

Returns:

I guarantee that the pot condition is as described and will take it back if you aren't happy with it. Items are returned at the buyers cost & risk. Please be aware that most UK couriers will NOT insure ceramic items, however it is certainly easier than returning overseas. Please get in touch if you want to return an item.

Breakage in Transit:

Sadly, despite the best packaging, it does occassionally happen. Please prepare photo/ video evidence and contact me at the earliest opportunity.
