Description

Phenergan is a long - acting antihistamine which can be used to relieve symptoms of allergic disorders including:

Hayfever
Allergic Rhinitis
Urticaria (hives)
Allergic reactions to insect bites and stings
For the prevention and treatment of travel sickness

Ingredients
Each 5ml contains Promethazine hydrochloride BP 5mg.

Directions & Precautions
This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery.

If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, check with your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking this medicine.

This product should not be used in children under 6 years of age unless consulted with Doctor.

Avoid Alcohol.

This product contains sodium benzoate, sodium sulphite, and sodium metabisulfite. Also contains sorbitol and maltitol, 1.33g and 14.12g respectively, per maximum recommended daily dose.

Products containing sorbitol or maltitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.

Dosage for Allergic Disorders
6 to 12 years:
SINGLE DOSE AT NIGHT: 10-25 ml
2-3 TIMES A DAY DOSE: 10ml
SINGLE DOSE at Night for Sedation

6 to 12 years:
10-25 ml

For short term use for sedation, on the advice of a Doctor or Pharmacist. Do not use for more than 7-10 consecutive days.
Dosage for Travel Sickness

6 to 12 years:
10ml

Single dose taken the night before travel and repeated after 6-8 hours on the following day if necessary.

Dosage for Nausea and Vomiting

6 to 12 years:
10ml every 4-6 hours to a maximum daily dose of 25ml

Dosage may depend on the condition being treated and the individual response of the child. Give the lowest dose that adequately relieves symptoms. Ask your Pharmacist for advice.
