It utilizes a large, gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm, replete with a machined brass backplate to shape its frequency response; this creates the warmth and presence characteristic of Baby-Bottle-series microphones. The Baby Bottle SL offers a cardioid polar pattern, giving you a frequency range between 20 Hz to 20 kHz—more than enough to record vocals, pianos, stringed instruments, and more. This frequency response has been tailored to offer a present midrange, a smooth top end, and a low end which will not overpower the recording.
