Since "going viral" early this year, Jonah has been credited for lighting the crochet community on fire, and he has grown his social media following substantially.

His Instagram page has nearly 200,000 followers. The continued national and international media attention, including an appearance on the Today Show, a spot in Oprah Magazine, feature stories in major crochet magazines in the US and UK, and interviews by television stations in Australia and Germany, has allowed Jonah to expand his business and "give back" in an even bigger way.

To date, he has raised close to $20,000 through Go Fund Me for an organisation doing charitable work in the region of Ethiopia where he was born.
