The long straight edge of the border is then picked up for the main body of the shawl, and a mosaic colourwork band is knitted using two colour slip-stitch. The remainder of the body is knitted with short-row shaping and a final slip-stitch detail before binding off. We've created some GORGEOUS kits for Florence Spurling’s Ziri Shawl (creator of the Elvan Shawl and Scout Shawl).

Featuring Le Petit Lambswool by Biches & Bûches, as used by Florence, we've put together our favourite colour combos for you from our large range.

This beautiful yarn will give you tons of bounce and character. Rustic but not itchy. Beautifully warm and a real joy to work with - you'll love it!

Your Scout Shawl Kit contains:

• Le Petit Lambswool:

100g of MC, and 50g each of CC1 and CC2- as required for the pattern. (Shown in Kit A.)

(Note that this is the exact yarn requirement for this pattern, although Florence has added a 15% buffer to yardage in her written pattern for anyone using alternative yarns. We advise to make your gauge swatches in the contrast colours so that it doesn't eat into the MC. If you are super worried about running out, add an extra skein of the Main Colour.)

You will also need:
• 3.5mm / US 4, 119cm / 47” circular needle
• 3.5mm crochet hook (if making bobble stitches with the Crochet Hook Method) • 2 stitch markers
• Tapestry needle for duplicate stitch and weaving in ends
