A brooding and reticent nose grudgingly offers up its array of ripe but cool wild black berries and forest floor that is trimmed in hints of wood and menthol. There is excellent vibrancy to the detailed and stony middle weight flavors that are not particularly dense but do offer outstanding length where the supporting tannins are quite fine grained in the context of what is typical for Lavaux. This moderately austere effort is sufficiently compact that it will likely require at least a decade, and probably more like 15 years, to arrive at its peak.
