IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING THE COVID-19 VIRUS FROM WORKONE

Monday, March 16, 2020

In an effort to adhere with social distancing surrounding the Covid-19 virus, temporary measures have been implemented.

Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, for all RESEA Initial Orientation, One on One Assessment Interviews, 4-week Follow up Logs, SUB RESEA Orientation, Sub RESEA Follow up Logs, RES assigned Workshops and Jobs for Hoosiers (JFH) activities are cancelled until further notice.

If you are scheduled for any of the above events or activities the requirements to participate are waived for all Clinton, Greencastle, Sullivan and Terre Haute WorkOne offices. Your Unemployment Insurance Benefits will not be impacted by these temporary safeguards.

All RESEA, SUB RESEA and JFH customers have been exempted and your UI Benefits will not be impacted.

Work Based Learning

On October 27, WorkOne hosted Exective Director, Darrel Zeck and Senior Director Carrie Lively of the recently created Office of Work Based Learning.

In events held at the Area 30 Career Center in Greencastle and the Ohio Building in Terre Haute, local school administrators, employers and local officials heard from Darrel and Carrie about increasing Work Based Learning,  apprenticeship and internship opportunities in our area.  Photo Gallery

Manufacturing Day 2018

Manufacturing Day is the nation’s largest one-day celebration of manufacturing. The Western Indiana Workforce Development Board and the Vigo County School Corporation are partnering to provide approximately forty middle and high school counselors with a view of today’s advanced manufacturing environment and an opportunity to learn more about the numerous related career pathways available to students. Counselors come from schools in Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties were invited to attend the day’s events. Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett has signed a proclamation declaring Friday, October 5, 2018 “Manufacturing Day” in the city.

  • Advanced Manufacturing plays a critical part in the economic prosperity and a quality standard of living in Western Indiana and Eastern Illinois.
